Centering the Lamp Filament

Centering the Lamp Filament - Java Tutorial

This tutorial explores how the lamp filament is centered in a microscope and how this appears when viewed through the back focal plane of the objective or alternatively, through a piece of tissue paper placed on the field port lens.

To operate the tutorial, use the slider to bring the filament into and out of focus, as would be done in a real microscope with the focus knob. Place the mouse cursor over the alignment box and move the small inner box around inside the larger box to position the filament in the center of the viewfield.
