Optimize Observation and Contrast Methods with One Stereo Microscope Base

Brightfield observation of Zebrafish

To see your sample in detail and reveal new information, you must optimize your observation and contrast methods. But finding the ideal conditions can be time-consuming if you need to switch between microscopes.

We’ve radically simplified this task by enabling multiple observation and contrast methods on one stereo microscope base. Read on to learn how it works!

Choose Between Multiple Observation and Contrast Methods with Flexible Cartridges

Our new LED transmitted-light illumination bases use a flexible cartridge system, enabling you to switch between observation and contrast methods with a simple turn on your microscope. You can choose from nine observation cartridges to find a solution tailored to your unique research needs.

For instance, we offer three brightfield cartridges options in high, standard, and low contrast. These cartridges work well with samples that can naturally absorb light.

Here are images of Zebrafish taken with the different brightfield cartridges. As you can see, using the high contrast cartridge shows more internal structures.

You can also find three oblique illumination cartridges in low, standard, and high contrast. The oblique cartridges enable you to change the angle of the light for proper illumination conditions.

See how this works in the video below. The view of the Zebrafish changes as you switch the angle of the light using the high contrast slot.

In addition, darkfield and polarization cartridges are available to give you more flexibility in your observation methods.

The bases also provide transmitted illumination with LEDs, which helps reduce heat that can cause damage to specimens and provide a longer bulb life.
