This program is for setting the configuration of the Core Parking for Windows OS.

Overview

When you use a control PC with an APEXVIEW™ APX100 system, the Windows CPU Core Parking tool settings may cause issues with the system’s operation. The core parking function automatically parks (disables) CPU cores to save power. If you use a control PC with a CPU that has E-cores (efficiency cores), the core parking function can make it so there are insufficient resources for the APX100 system to operate properly.

To avoid this resource issue, run this core parking configuration change program. It changes the settings to increase the minimum number of operating CPUs during core parking, reducing the number of disabled CPU cores.

Additionally, for control PCs with CPUs equipped with E-cores, it is recommended to disable the E-cores in the BIOS. For information on disabling the E-cores, refer to “BIOS and OS Settings for the Controller” in the APX100 Digital Imaging System Instructions manual.

Downloading the Core Parking Settings Program

1. Click the [Download] button at the top right of the page. The file to download is named SetCoreParkingConfig.zip
2. When the [File Download] dialog box is displayed, click the [Save] button to download it to the desktop of the control PC. The downloaded file is compressed in ZIP format.

3. Unzip the file.

   You can decompress the compressed file by right-clicking on the file in the File Explorer and selecting “Extract All.”

   The file structure after expansion is as follows:

4. Copy the extracted set of files to the control PC.

Please execute the program according to “CoreParking_Settings_Manual_JPEN.pdf” in the downloaded file.
