This software is an update to VS200 ASW V4.1/VS200 DESKTOP V4.1.
When VS200 is purchased with VS200 ASW V3.4.1/VS200 DESKTOP V3.4.1, update to V4.1 is free of charge.
Otherwise, purchasing the one-time update license provides access to the VS200 ASW V4.1/VS200 DESKTOP V4.1.
1. Modifications
This update is for the following changes.
New hardware and OS support

- Laser combiner (405, 488, 561, 638 nm wavelength) for SILA acquisition
- U-LGPS white LED for Fluorescence scans
- KL-2500 for Reflected BF
- Optical sectioning device and trigger board for SILA acquisition

- SILA module for optical sectioning
- Workflow for consecutive transmitted light scans

- Additional image layers (Sample masks, Focus point, Focus map and Sharpness layer) can be optionally created during image acquisition

2. General
VS200 ASW: This software is used to scan slides with a VS200 ST or MTL slide scanning system.
VS200 DESKTOP: This software is used to open VSI images scanned with a VS200 system. Since this software is for reading and writing, measurement, analysis, 3D function etc. can be used by this software.
2.1 System Requirements
VS200 ASW only supports Microsoft Windows 10 Professional, 64bit
VS200 Desktop supports Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11 Professional, 64bit
3. Installation
- Before installation
This software comes with "EVIDENT END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT". Prior to downloading this software, please read EVIDENT END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT carefully. When downloading begins, it automatically assumes that you have agreed to terms and conditions in this "EVIDENT END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT". For operating configurations or license types, please refer to the page describing Product
specifications. Please be sure to close all running software before downloading.
- Procedure to download files
(1) Confirm that the version of your Windows OS is 64bit version. Select the file you want to download from the right side of the page.
※ Download file name: VS200ASW_4-1-27564.zip (7.37 GB)
(2) When an entry form appears, enter all required items.
※ The Serial Number means a "Serial Number" described in the main license card.
(3) Press the [Send] button to start the download. Please understand that the downloading may take some time depending on your OS or network environment.
- Installation procedures
(1) Decompress the downloaded zip file. (The file name differs depending on the version.)
(2) Right-click on the icon to display the menu and select [Extract all…].
(3) Select the folder to extract and click the [Extract] button.
(4) When the file is decompressed, double-click "Setup.exe" of the folder to start Installer. When Installer starts, install the software according to instructions of Installer. Each VS200 system includes an Instructions for Use manual where the software installation process is described in detail.
※ You cannot install the software unless the user account is registered as "System Administrator".
If your account is registered as "Limited account", please ask "System Administrator" to change. (For user account registration, please refer to the user manual of your computer.)
