Overview
![]() | Because our systems are modular, it's easy for equipment designers to pick and choose the components and objective lenses that meet their system requirements—optically, mechanically, and electronically. Designers can choose to use off-the-shelf components—like tube lenses, illuminators, nosepieces, and autofocus units— in addition to objective lenses. |

Tube LensU-TLUIdeal when observation through oculars is not required, the tube lens unit is designed for use with an imaging sensor. We also offer a model designed to transmit near-IR wavelengths. C-mount and other adaptors enable you to add a digital camera to the tube lens. SWTLU-CThe dedicated super-wide tube lens takes full advantage of Olympus objectives’ 26.5 mm field of view, increasing the overall image field of view and the amount of data acquired with each image. |

NosepiecesOur revolving nosepieces can be used with either brightfield or brightfield/darkfield objectives and have a slider slot for DIC observation. Both manual and motorized nosepieces are available that accommodate from four to seven objectives. If you’re integrating software, coded nosepieces are available so that the software can read the magnification setting on the nosepiece. We also offer specially designed cleanroom-compatible motorized nosepieces for semiconductor applications. |

C-Mounts and Video MountsWe provide a variety of C-mounts and video ports to interface with imaging sensors, including 1x, 0.63x, 0.5x, 0.35x, and 0.25x C-mounts and bayonet, T-mounts, and F-mounts. |

![]() | Observation TubeIf you need eyepieces to maximize the user's interaction with the microscope image, binocular and trinocular observation tubes are available. Options include erect tubes, tilting tubes, and tubes with a wide field of view (up to 26 mm). |
---|
AutofocusThe active laser autofocus improves the accuracy, repeatability, and speed of inspections. Our autofocus unit has a multi-spot array that substantially increases stability by eliminating the effects of vertical topography on the sample. |
---|
IlluminatorsOur universal illuminator is built to suit life science, industrial, and materials science equipment. It includes multiple positions for mirror cubes and is ideal for fluorescence or laser integration. Compact brightfield illuminators include filter slots for Nomarski and polarized light, and motorized illuminators are available that enable you to fully control the mirror cube position, aperture stop, and illumination intensity. |

Light SourcesOur microscope frames are coupled with LED light sources but can also be fitted with a collimating adaptor to introduce a high-intensity halogen fiber or LED fiber options. |

![]() | Magnification ChangersMagnification changers provide incremental magnification that can be beneficial when an imaging sensor requires a specific field of view. Magnification changer components are placed before the tube lens within the infinity space of the optical system. The U-CA changer provides magnification increments of 1.25x, 1.6x, and 2x, and the U-ECA provides 2x magnification. Both can be used on upright or inverted microscopes. A coded magnification changer, the IX3-CAS, is also available. |
---|
Camera PortsAdditional camera ports can be used within the system’s infinity space to add an input or output detector. |
![]() | CondensersWe offer condensers for transmitted light on both upright and inverted microscopes. The universal condenser enables you to perform many illumination techniques on one microscope. Phase contrast, darkfield, and long working distance condensers are available for various applications. |
