1. General

This software will update your current version of [BX2-BSW] program.
[BX2-BSW Ver.03.01], [BX2-BSW Ver.03.02] or [BX2-BSW Ver.03.03] can be updated to [BX2-BSW Ver.03.04].

*You can confirm your [BX2-BSW] version by booting up the [BX2-BSW] program and clicking [Help]-[Version info]. You can also confirm it printed on the label of the CD-ROM [BX2-BSW].
*You cannot update the other versions of [BX2-BSW] with this software.
Correspondence OS:
     Windows Vista Business (32-bit)/
     Windows XP Professional (SP2)
     (Windows 2000 is not supported.)

2. Software Modifications

• Main modifications of the [BX2-BSW Ver.03.03](Ver.03.04)
  • Response to Windows Vista Business (32-bit), Windows XP Professional (SP2) as the OS instead of Windows 2000.
  • Addition of the objective lenses for UIS2 series. See the list.
  • Update of the mirror list. See the list.
  • The file format of the help file was changed. Then, the option menu of help dialog was deleted.
  • The bug of the error code display was fixed.
     
• Main modifications of the [BX2-BSW Ver.03.02] (Ver.03.03)
  • Optimization of the passive AF parameter for the UMPLFL objective lenses
  • Addition of the objective lenses for UIS2 series and “UPLFL 40X O” objective lens to the list
     
• Main modifications of the [BX2-BSW Ver.03.01] (Ver.03.02)
  • Response to Windows 2000(SP3), Windows XP Pro (SP1) as the OS instead of Windows 2000 , Windows ME and PocketPC.
  • Change “C:\BX2” into “C:\Program Files\BX2-BSW” as the default folder for installation
  • Change the construction of the folders below
    
    

3. Installation procedure

1. Before installation
   • This software comes with an “OLYMPUS END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT”. Prior to downloading the software, please read the OLYMPUS END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT for sure. When downloading begins, it automatically assumes that you agreed to this AGREEMENT.
      
2. Download
   • Select the file you want to download from the right side of the page.
     *Download file name:[BX2-BSW_VER0304.exe](14.2Mbyte)
3. Installation procedure
   1. We strongly recommend that you exit all Windows programs.
   2. Insert the CD-ROM [BX2-BSW Ver.03.01], [BX2-BSW Ver.03.02] or [BX2-BSW Ver.03.03] to the CD-ROM drive.
      *In case of booting up the older version of installer, please click [Cancel] to stop the procedure.
   3. Double click the file [BX2-BSW_VER0304.exe] you saved in the folder in procedure “2. Download”.
   4. Installer will boot up. Proceed with the installation in accordance with the installer instructions.
      * If the CD-ROM [BX2-BSW Ver.03.01], [BX2-BSW Ver.03.02] or [BX2-BSW Ver.03.03] is not inserted to the CD-ROM drive, it is not possible to install the upgrading basic software [BX2-BSW Ver.03.03].
      
      Note: Before Installation
      The software cannot be installed unless the user account is registered as "Computer Administrator". If the user account is registered as a "Restricted Account", change it to the "Computer Administrator" account. (For the user account registration, refer to the instruction manual for your PC) 
       
4. Verification of version
   • When the installation is complete, boot up BX2-BSW program and click [Help]-[Version Info]. If the software has been loaded properly, "BX2 Ver.03.04" will appear for BX2 interface.
