Long Lifetime LED Illumination
The CX22LED offers excellent basic performance and reliability. For environmentally friendly performance and reduced running costs, the CX22LED reduces the need for frequent lamp replacement by using a light-emitting diode (LED) with a lifetime of approximately 20,000 hours.
Stable Color Temperature
As well as providing uniform and stable light intensity, the brightness of the LED can be changed without affecting the color temperature. In conjunction with Olympus plan-corrected objectives, this ensures clear images with a stable color balance at any brightness level.
Secured Binocular Tube
With conventional microscopes, the binocular tube can sometimes fall off when it is rotated. The CX22 LED, however, comes with a specially designed pin that provides added reassurance. The eyepieces, objectives, condenser, and other components are also secured to the microscope frame - preventing them from falling or being lost during transfer.
Sturdy Design for Medical Testing in the Field
The CX22LED has been specially designed to deliver ongoing performance, even in harsh environments and rigorous conditions. An optional reflection mirror is also available for illumination, even where power is not available.
Protected by an Anti-fungal Treatment
Many microscopes are vulnerable to mold and other fungi when used in hot, humid environments. The objectives, eyepieces, and observation tube of the CX22LED have all undergone anti-fungus treatment, enabling optimal viewing and greater durability.
Convenient and Compact for Storage and Transfer
The CX22LED has been designed around a compact frame and low profile parts. While conventional microscopes often have a cumbersome power cord that can get in the way during transportation, the cord for the CX22LED can be wound around an optional handy hanger mounted on the back.
Siedentopf Binocular Tube for Simple Adjustments
A new Siedentopf binocular tube enables adjustment to a wider range of eye point height - from 378 mm to 428 mm from the table top, allowing many users of any height to observe using a relaxed posture. What's more, the interpupillary distance can be adjusted within a range of 48 to 75 mm, with a scale provided for easy alignment. In addition, there is a mechanism for diopter adjustment which allows the user to make quick and accurate adjustments to match their personal viewing comfort.
A Rackless Stage for Unhindered Access to Controls
The CX22LED features a wire-driven stage, offering smoother operation and outstanding durability. Because there is no protruding rack, there is a lower risk of hand injury.
Focus on Safety, Prevent Specimen Damage
With the CX22LED, there is no need to worry about the objective and the slide glass accidentally coming into contact. Simply lock the upper frame in position to protect the objectives and specimens from the possibility of damage. This function is also useful for quick refocusing when exchanging the specimen.
Adjustable Torque for Smoother Focusing
Coarse focusing torque can be adjusted to suit the viewer's preferences and usage needs. A coaxial focusing knob allows both coarse and fine focal adjustment to be operated from either the left or right side.
