1. General

(Updating the DP20-DRV Ver. 01.01 to Ver. 01.02)

This software will update the DP20-DRV Ver. 01.01 to Ver. 01.02

• To check your current version of DP20-DRV, boot up the DP20-DRV and click [Help] - [Version].
  See the figures below; Example of Ver.01.01.
  
   

2. Software Modifications

• Main modifications of DP20-DRV Ver.01.02.
  • Windows Vista compatible(Ultimate 32bit, Business 32bit, HomePremium 32bit, HomeBasic 32bit)
    Note that Windows Vista Enterprise 32bit and Windows Vista 64bit are NOT compatible.
  • Problems on the case which the DP20-DRV Ver.01.01 Image Transfer Application Software unable to be booted when the image file appears on the desktop PC were fixed.
  • Problems on the undisplayed SQ image by actual size were fixed.

3. Installation procedure

1. Before installation
   • This software comes with an "OLYMPUS END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT". Before downloading the software, please read the "OLYMPUS END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT". When downloading begins, it automatically assumes that you have agreed to this AGREEMENT.
2. Uninstallation of DP20-DRV Ver.01.01
   • When the DP20-DRV Ver.01.01 Image Transfer Application Software has already been installed on the PC which installs this software, uninstall it.
   • Read uninstallation details.
   • No necessary to uninstall the device driver.
3. Download
   • Select the file you want to download from the right side of the page.
     * Download file name: [DP20DRV0102.exe] (9.78MB).
   • When an entry form appears, enter all required fields.
     * Serial No. : This Serial No. is the alphanumeric characters indicated on your DP20 camera head (see below).
     * Please input only the character strings after the text "DP20-5 SN" or "DP20 SN" indicated by the arrow in the serial number.
     * CD code: This CD code is printed on the CD-ROM "DP20-DRV" of the basic software (see below).
   • Click the [Start Download] button, start the download.
   • Save the downloaded file "DP20DRV0102.exe" into an arbitrary place in the PC. At this time, take a note of this place saved (file path).
     For Windows Vista users, it is not able to download directly to the C-drive. Therefore, make a folder first such as C:\DL and download it to the folder which you created in advance.
   
   * Please use the number printed here for the "Serial No.".
   
   
   * Please use the code printed here for the "CD code".
   
4. Installation procedure
   1. Double click on the file "DP20DRV0102.exe" you saved in the procedure 3 to open it.
      The following dialog box is displayed upon decompression:
      
      Click the [Browse] button in the WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box to choose the folder to which you wish to save the decompressed file.
   2. Click the [Unzip] button to start to decompress the downloaded file.
   3. When decompression completes, a dialog box to confirm your action will be displayed. Click the [OK] button to close the dialog.
   4. Click the [Close] button to close the dialog box.
       
   • Multiple files will be decompressed. Save all file into an arbitrary place in the PC. At this time, take a note of this place saved (file path).
   • Double click on the file “Setup.exe” you saved in the procedure 3 to open it.
   • Installer will boot up. Proceed with the installation in accordance with the installer instructions.
   • Read installation details

   * The software cannot be installed unless the user account is registered as a "Computer Administrator".
   If the user account is registered as a "Restricted Account", change it to a "Computer Administrator" account.
   (For the user account registration, refer to the instruction manual for your PC.)

5. Installation procedure for the device driver
   * When the DP20-DRV Device Driver has already been installed on the PC that you are currently using, there is no necessary to reinstall.

6. Verification of version
   • When the installation is complete, boot up the DP20-DRV and click [Help] - [Version]. When the Ver.01.02 appears as below, the software update has been completed.
