This program is for setting the configuration of the Core Parking for Windows OS.

Overview

When using the control PC, there are some things to keep in mind when using the APEXVIEW™ APX100 digital imaging system. Some of the CPUs in control PCs have E-cores. Additionally, there is a core parking function (a function that automatically parks the CPU cores to save power) as an OS setting. When using a control PC with a CPU equipped with E-cores, if the core parking function is operating while the APX100 system is in use, the necessary resources may become insufficient and the APX100 system may not operate properly

Therefore, we recommended that you run this core parking configuration change program to avoid running out of resources when using an APX100 system. This program changes settings to increase the minimum number of operating CPUs during core parking and to reduce the number of parked CPU cores. For control PCs equipped with a CPU designed with E-cores, we recommended that you disable the E-core in the BIOS. For information on disabling the E-core, refer to "BIOS and OS Settings for the Controller" in the APX100 Instruction Manual.

Downloading the Core Parking Settings Program

1. Click the Download button at the top right of the page.
   *Download file name: SetCoreParkingConfig.zip
2. When the File Download dialog is displayed, click the Save button to download it to the desktop of the control PC.

3. The downloaded file is compressed in a ZIP file format, so unzip it.

   *You can decompress the compressed file by selecting the file in Explorer, right-clicking it, and selecting Extract All from the menu that appears.

   *The file structure after expansion is as follows:

   • SetCoreParkingConfig.ps1
   • CoreParking_Settings_Manual_JPEN.pdf
4. Copy the extracted set of files to the control PC.
