1. General

We found that noises were displayed on the acquired image when the digital color camera DP21 was used with some PC.
At this time, we prepared the update program to solve this phenomenon. In case that this defect is found, please kindly update the DP21 control software using this program.

2. Object Product

Following version of DP2-TWAIN interface and cellSens Interface which controls DP21.

cellSens Ver1.4, Ver1.3, Ver1.2
DP2-TWAIN Ver3.3, Ver3.2, Ver3.1

*If the version of cellSens is Ver1.3 and Ver1.2, the update to Ver1.4 is needed before update using this program.

To check your current version of cellSens, start cellSens and click [Help] - [Version information].

*If the version of DP2-TWAIN is Ver3.2 and Ver3.1, the update to Ver5.1 is needed before update using this program.

To check your current version of DP2-TWAIN, start DP2-TWAIN and Click the icon and then click the [System infoc] button. You can see your version in [Application]-[Product Version].

* DP21 which is used in standalone is out of object of this update.

3. Defect Phenomenon

Noises were displayed on the acquired image as below when the digital color camera DP21 was used in combination with certain PCs.

4. Defect Factor

Noises may occur on the image acquired by DP21 in combination with certain PCs when the CPU utilization rate is decreased. You will be able to solve this defect by enhancing the CPU utilization rate for using DP21.

5. Solution

Please download the update program and update the DP21 control software so that the defect is solved.
Please note that your PC may not always be listed in "list of compatible PC models for Digital Color Camera DP21"

6. Update program

This program updates DP2-TWAIN and cellSens interface controlling DP21.
*Even after this update program was executed, it is not related to the version update for the DP21 control software (DP2-TWAIN and cellSens interface) that you are currently using.

7. About Update

Problems on cases that use DP21 in combination with certain PCs were fixed.

1.Before installation
This update program comes with an "OLYMPUS END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT". Prior to downloading the software, please read the OLYMPUS END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT. When downloading begins, it automatically assumes that you agreed to this Agreement.

2.Download
(1) Please enter all the required (*) fields below in order to download the software.
(2) Select the file you want to download from the right side of the page.
* Download file name: "DP21CUCPU.zip"(326KB)
* Please download the [DP21CUCPU.zip] file in your PC. (**)
* Serial number is the alphanumeric characters indicated on your DP21-CU. (See the figures below.)
The number printed here is the serial number.
