Preventative Maintenance, Repair Services, and Extended Warranty/Service Contracts

You’ve chosen an Olympus microscope system for its renowned optics, depth of observation, and versatile system options. As an Evident customer, you expect and deserve value-added service and support. A full-service support network staffed by experienced Evident service personnel is available to you.

Your Evident field service engineer (FSE) is certified and licensed by Evident to install, repair, and optimize Olympus advanced imaging systems at your facility. You may send your core microscope and/or related components for in-house repair (prior service work order online request required) by our technicians or contact your local Evident authorized service provider for on-site service at your facility.

Preventative Maintenance—Optimize Your System Performance to Factory Specifications

We recommend annual preventative maintenance for our products. Your Evident field service engineer (FSE) and Evident authorized service provider are the only personnel fully trained to service your system. During the annual visit, Evident service personnel will perform alignment, calibration, cleaning, and any necessary repairs to optimize your system to factory specifications. Annual maintenance visits can minimize system failure, reduce repair expenses, and maximize uptime.

Extended Warranty/Service Contracts

Designed to protect your investment, maximize your scientific productivity, and minimize downtime, an Evident service contract helps you focus on your research. Keep your high-quality imaging system operating at peak performance with a Gold or Platinum service contract. Programs provide the following benefits:

  • Pre-approved repair and service authorization means no waiting for a purchase order to schedule your visit
  • Includes parts, labor, and travel (when applicable) to reduce your costs
  • Unlimited service calls with factory-certified replacement parts
  • Remote diagnostic support (model dependent)
  • World-class service performed by Evident licensed, certified service personnel
  • Cost-effective, predictable service costs for your budget with easy-to-manage single or multi-year options
  • Optional annual Preventative Maintenance

Gold Service Contract

Covers repair or replacement, labor, and travel (when applicable) for all parts (excluding consumables, software programs, upgrade of software programs, and certain third-party components). All repairs are performed by Evident licensed, certified field service engineers or Evident authorized service providers to factory specifications.

Platinum Service Contract

Includes all the benefits of the Gold contract, plus one on-site preventative maintenance visit per year for each year you have the service contract.

Service Parts

To purchase service parts*: 

1. If you do not know the part number you need, please submit a technical inquiry or call 1-800-225-8330, option 4. To associate the correct service part, we will need the model number and serial number of your product.

2. If you know the part number you need, please submit a customer service inquiry or call 1-800-225-8330, option 2.

*Some service parts may require Evident service personnel to perform the repair. Return of customer-installed service parts is prohibited.

Technical Inquiry, System Operation Support, Service/Repair, and Application Support

We are committed to providing you with the best technical support for your microscope system. Your Evident sales representative is always your first point of contact when considering a new system. For after-sale support, our Technical Assistance Center (TAC) can answer questions related to system operation, the maintenance of your system, or applications. TAC may provide remote diagnosis of performance issues and remote software support (model dependent). TAC can connect you with the appropriate Evident specialist for the most complicated inquiries.

In-House Repair

In-house repair in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA does not accept incoming repairs without a service work order (SWO). If TAC recommended an in-house repair, please complete the SWO request or call 1-800-225-8330, option 3 for additional support.
